Is Yoga for everyone?
Yoga is one of the most misunderstood healing modalities in the world of health. It is often compared to calisthenics or stretching by well-meaning individuals who have simply never experienced true, traditional, introspective yoga by a teacher who understood how to adapt the class to each individual’s needs. This is unfortunate because Yoga is such a magnificent, empowering gift to those who need to heal inwardly as well as outwardly. Yoga is for everyone, no matter the pre-conceived limitations. You just need the right Yoga Therapist teaching the class. I would love to introduce you to Cyndi. Your first class with her is Free.
Cyndi Kershner is a dedicated and highly skilled yoga teacher and therapist; she has been teaching students for eight years, and often trains other yoga instructors. Her classes are intentionally kept small and personal, with lots of opportunities for interaction, questions, learning, and connection. She teaches mindfulness meditation skills in all her classes to assist students in reducing stress and being calm. Her classes are alignment based and utilize props for safety and comfort. She can adapt yoga practice for all skill levels and body types; everyone is welcome in her classes, especially beginning students.
Cyndi's specialty is adapting yoga for health conditions and mobility differences. Her work on Adaptive Yoga has been published several times in Yoga Therapy Today.
