If you can tell me who your heroes are, I can tell you how you're going to turn out in life. - Warren Buffet
I wonder what inspires you in this life? Who are your heroes? For me it is the child who thrives through pain, loss and inner turmoil, the child who finds a dream within themselves and a focus to give back to the world. They are beacons of light for us all to follow.
Today my thoughts go to four of my many heroes. One is a young spunky four year old child who through her own sheer tenacity and resolve continues to overcome what the medical teams thought she never could. Someday I will share her story. Another young girl who inspires me was raised in a severely dysfunctional home. But now through her own determination and perseverance she uses her childhood as a reference. She is now entering a master’s program that will allow her to help other children.
Then there is the young woman who has struggled with morbid obesity her whole life who found it within herself to gradually and accumulatively lose 300 pounds over the last 3 years, without gimmicks, just shear tenacity and hard work. She has thousands rallying around her as she celebrates with friends and now walks through the mountains she could only before see, through the window in her home, http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/woman-loses-300-pounds-fashioned-13809905?tab=9482931§ion=1206835&playlist=1363742&page=1.
Lastly I share with you the young boy, old enough to retire now, who has lived a life of following his own heart, his dreams, not necessarily societies. He searched for truths and found them and he has brought a light to the world that will never diminish. Through knowledge, research, networking and sheer tenacity he has brought Reiki to millions and has been paramount in Reiki being common practice in over 800 hospitals across the United States.
Kenny Login's song, One Small Voice, speaks for these heroes and shares the message that...One small voice can teach the world a song. If you feel the music and you believe the words--Sing, and you'll be heard
Who inspires you in this life? Who are your Heroes?— I would love to hear
Thanks, Nancy
